Lola’s World
This past Saturday after the FourtwoFour opening party we all met up at the Corey Helford Gallery for the Lola show. I’ll be honest when I say that I’ve seen her work around at the various art shows that we’ve attended in the past but never really paid much attention to it. Attending this show has completely changed me in becoming a fan of her art. The color blends were crazy but what caught my eye the most is the Framing. It’s crazy how a frame could make or break a painting. Oh yeah before I forget sorry about the picture above with the woman’s butt, the gallery was at capacity so we couldn’t get too many clear shots.
Trying to get our drink on.. We felt like we were in some type of music video with the lighting.
Here you can see the crazy details of the framing that surrounded all art pieces..
Another nice addition to the gallery were these HUGE origamis hanging from the top. If you paid attention to the paintings you would have noticed that most of the paintings if not all had origamis in them, talk about attention to detail…

Beach Bum
Sometimes going to the city is a little too much for me…. A lot of my inspiration comes when I just hangout by the beach sipping on my coffee, Especially right now when we’re working on new designs for our next season.
You know I had to bring the little guy with me TODO. He loves checking out all the girlie’s!
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about our next season because its only our second batch and we want to do it right. Thinking if we should do what people were digging more or just doing what we like is sometimes a hard decision but I guess at the end of the day its all about what makes us happy…
Todo looks like a beach bum with his long dirty blond hair about to go shred…
Soundtrack 2 our Brand
It seems like lately we’ve been sharing a lot about when we first started this brand and when this new Kid Cudi video came out we knew that we would be telling you guys something about it. Last year when we decided to go forward with the brand ‘Man on the Moon’ is all we would listen to. No joke, ever single day we were in the office trying to come out with designs, blogging and even when we headed down to Fairfax or La Brea you could catch us listening to this CD. A lot of the inspiration for our collection came from this CD, It’s also funny to think that Man on the Moon was Cudi’s debut Album as this is our Collection Debut. We set out to be different from everyone else and I can honestly say that we’ve accomplished just that. ” I never gave a fuck
I never a fuck about what niggas thought about me
I mean I did but like, fuck it ya know what i’m sayin ” -Cudi

100 Degrees
Yesterday we headed down to Fairfax for a minute. We planned on staying for a bit but shit was way too hot, we stopped by a couple spots to say whats up and then headed down to the pita spot to get our grub on. We also met some cool people from New York when we were at The Hundreds picking up their latest issue of their magazine. It’s always good to meet cool people especially on the block.
We had to bring Penny with us… PITBULL puppies!
We know we had to show support to our good friends DabsMyla..
Penny was makin the block hot!
It was so hot that the STANKY leg came out… Get at me
Later that night we headed to the opening of FourtwoFour on fairfax. We got to finally hangout with a lot of people that we’ve kept in touch with online especially homeboy Anwar whos everywhere getting his hustle on, get at me! At the same time we got to chill at this new spot on Fairfax which is doing something completely differnt than everyone else on the block.
We met homeboy Robert ‘maliceousSkates‘ he was a cool cat…
Best of both worlds…
So there’s this new little spot in the bay area, its really cool they got a lot of the new Upper Playground gear and skateboards. Most of the shop has graffiti supplies and little accessories. The shop it self is set up really nice and cozy. It’s really nice to see a spot like this by the beach, there’s nothing else like it.
It’s nice when a shop has a little bit everything.
Our boy Alex Pardee, This is one of my favorite shirts he did for Upper Playground…. You guys gotta check out his Zero Friends brand shit is heat!
I like how they have artist collaborated decks…
Little gangsters just hanging out at the shop, Also they just got done skating with Rodney Mullen. Rodney is a beast!
Garrett doing a good job running the spot really down to earth guy.
Evolving..
I’m not sure if we’ve ever posted this picture before but it holds a lot of meaning to me. This picture was taken by our younger brother Jacob at the Vox Humana After Party in Downtown several months back and it was the first Big event that we were invited to attend. Jose and I started this brand close to a year ago and just released our line roughly 3 weeks ago, that shows you just how much time and effort we put into it. We didn’t just want to come out with random shirts to try and make a quick buck. We wanted to start a brand that stands out and that has meaning behind it. People have showed us support from day one when we started this without any shirts not even stickers and those people are still around supporting us which means a great deal to us. We’ve also made a ton of friends and supporters through twitter which was a huge surprise to us and we want to Thank all of you. Seeing everything evolve with our brand has brought us a lot of excitement and none of it could of been done without the support from everyone. It just goes to show you that with drive and a lot of hard work you can make dreams happen. We know that we are newcomers to this but we just want to let everyone know that SEEKING THE THRONE IS HERE TO STAY!

Randomness
Today’s post is a ton of really random pictures but its ok…. We were checking out The Hundreds blog the other day and came across something Bobbyhundreds wrote ” What makes a blog successful? The answer is consistency. Sounds simple, but it’s the hardest thing to do for most blog upstarts. The best blogs are reliable, updated regularly, and never skip a beat.” They’ve been in the game for a minute now and they’re one of most successful street brands out there and their blog is always updated. So you learn from the big dogs or at least try!
Super hero Todo about to put on his cape and save the world.
Thanks for everyones support ”We are doing just fine”
My 9 to 5 so we can save money for our next season.
Here’s one of our beanie models ”More money more problems” (Gizmo)
Whats the next move… This is chess not checkers!
Building it all…
I’m more than positive that most of you have already seen the latest episode of Maestro Knows by now but if you haven’t, here you go. To us this was an great episode because we actually met Johnny at the Alex Pardee show last year and not long after we met Maestro at a 33third show. We can say first hand that both of these individuals have inspired us to achieve greatness and push for what we believe in, they are an inspiration for those working towards their dream. These two have got to be some of the most humble and hard working individuals that we have met thus far and both are pushing the envelope to bring NEW things to the game. You always gotta think outside the box and create trends rather than following them.
