Flicks
As you can see we started the day with some Philippe’s French dipped sandwiches. I love coming here, good people, good food at a cheap price. You cant wrong by coming here and getting the double dipped turkey with the macaroni salad and a lemonade plus a coffee.
Our good friends Sara and Young came along today, We were trying to convince them to jump in the game…
After Philips we wanted to walk around and take some flicks and enjoy the view of Downtown..
Got some coffee to do some more walking…. Young says ” Whats good? “
Addicts….
So my partner is such a food truck fanatic, we had to go here! I never seen so many trucks at once, People were everywhere just hoping around from truck to truck. It was wild son like that huge booty in front of me uuuuhhg. This event was hosted by TLofts and roughly 20 trucks were there to support and a portion of the earnings went to Haiti.
You gotta start by checking out what people are eating and if you digg then digg in…
We got there somewhat late so we weren’t able to taste test too many trucks but the ones that we did were BOSSSS
Homeboys were busy but not too busy to take a pic…
And for desert you know we had to get down with KING KONE!!
Of course we had to say whats up to this little bulldog… This little guy was 3 months old but looked like a grown ass man
After eating at the Tloft event we headed to the Evo Hotel for the Vox Humana VIP after party. Security was heavy for this event but thanks to our younger bro that was already there we were able to get in. We met a lot of cool people but we also met a lot of FREAKS.
After we got off the elevator and got in the suite we headed straight for the balcony
We met this group of kids when we walked into the suite, They had their own clothing line that they’ve been doing since high school. They were probably the most down to earth people that we met at this party. It was nice to see these young kids doing what they love and keeping true to themselves.
They were handing out tomato basil soup and tortilla soup shots, that’s what home-girl was sippin on…
Our younger bro from Eighteen Volts enjoying the view…
The Process: Vox Humana
What can I say were the new faces of gallery blogging and with that being said, We got invited to a private live painting these last 5 days for the Vox Humana show! My partner in crime and I couldn’t go but we sent our younger brother Jacob to go for us and take some flicks… He was like a little kid in a candy store, he got to meet a lot of big dogs in the game plus they took time to hangout with him and took him out to eat! At the same time he got to hangout and run the L.A ART MACHINE booth by Bryson Srauss. So for helping Bryson out he got to meet the four artists that where doing the live painting which were MEAR ONE, EL MAC, RETNA and KOFIE. These last 4 to 5 days our brother has been going back and fourth to the show meeting people while getting our name out there and having fun at the same time. My brother had nothing But love for Mear one and Motion because they took their time from their busy schedule to hangout with him! Our brother got to pick their brain a little bit and talk about their future projects, they also showed him some video’s that they’ve been working on. At the same time they were showing him some tricks with our camera settings while they past a joint around to free their minds a little bit, telling stories and inviting my brother to their house to paint. After all is set and done I think my brother had a good time. On the second to last day we got invited to the after party on the Penthouse Suite of the Evo Hotel in Downtown L.A and we all went for that. We will show you the picture’s of the party in our next post.
EL FIN
DESENSITIZED
Last weekend my partner in crime and my brothers stayed home for this show, But I took my homie Junior and his friend Johnny. It was cool because Junior knew one of the artist, He grew up with Dan Quintana. We got to hangout with him for a minute, really nice guy and very busy! The gallery was full of all kinds of people plus a lot of families! It was nice to get some free beer and wine, there was a taco truck and a weird band too! Its always sweet to go to Copro Gallery cause it’s such a big place and there are other galleries going on at the same time, So u can bar hop and see different art + girls.
This was the entrance slash cashier spot… They had all kinds of cool shit prints, sculptures, toys, magazine and shirts.
It was pretty much a collaboration show with Dan Quintana and Brian Viveros. I really was impressed with their work from the details to the color, plus the framing was boss.
I wish I could afford one of their paintings but jigga man is broke
It was nice cause they brought models and some of them where painted and dressed like the paintings.
The little details get you in the game
Junior and Johnny tripping out on how much work and perfection goes into these paintings
Freaks on the strand…
Decided to go to Venice for little bit to walk the dog and check out the skate park. It’s been a while since I’ve been here to people watch. Venice brings me back when I was a little kid coming with my family checking out all the freaks and graffiti! The people on the side walk are still selling stuff trying to make a dime.
There where so many people hanging out, some random kids painting trying to do work!
Santa Monica Blvd. Finale
I know were late on this but we’ve been busy trying to get this line out for everyone. We went to the opening for ‘A Cry For Help’ at Thinkspace Gallery, This was a benefit for the endangered species of the world. Most of the Art in the show was great but the whole atmosphere in the place wasn’t really happening for us. Enough talk just look at pictures…
We took our little bro and he filmed the entire show as well as the Gallery 1988 show on our previous post…
Dabs and Myla always doing it right…
What’s up Maestro, Is my brother doin it with that baby camera!
BABYGIRL… She knew that I was taking a picture, posting all cute and shit! My brother fell in love with her dorky look.
Wilshire Pt.2
So after hitting up Gallery 1988 we headed down to MILK. I heard a lot of good thing about this place and their Ice cream, We ended up getting a few things to try out which ended up all being good. There was a good vibe inside as well.
The brownie on the bottom was sooo fresh…
Everyone was getting brain freezes to the max
It was my little brothers first time here and he was already floating around posting up all “G”
We didn’t even have to tell Aaron to throw it up, He already knew what’s up… Seeking LA Throne.
You cant deny that E-dub’s been getting better and better every day in photography, definitely has the eye for it. He really impressed me with this one! It’s because of him our website-blog always looks fresh till death.
