 On the way to Upper Playground we stopped by this spot in culver city, Santa Maria BBQ. As you can see it looks pretty snazzy,but is was garbage, the burrito was fucking dry, the ribs had no BBQ sauce, but i guess the mushroom burger was o.k! waitress was kinda cute slip n’ slide.

After that nasty ass food we finally got on the freeway straight to the playground…We got to Upper Playground  and they had a Patrick Martinez installation,  I thought it was pretty clever work but my brother e-dub didn’t like it. Remember these old school folders one of my favorites things there!

Represent  pussies!What do you call those hand things… Whatever, It would be cool to have one of these for the Dodger games. Break Yourself beeeaaahhh…

 This past weekend we ended up going to Culver City for Kenny Scharf’s “Barberadise” show which showcased some familiar icons such as the Jetsons and the Flinstones.  On some of them he combined them both the Jetson and the Flinstones zipping around universe.

Jigga man was standing in front of one of this painting just to give you an idea of how big some of these paintings were..BBBEEAAH!

ZZZZipping around the universe….What chu know about it.

The other half of the gallery had completely different types of paintings plus it had an installation of a creepy ass tree..

This side of the gallery was completely different from the others, These paintings has glitter paint plus it had tons more texture to them.

On my lunch break I stopped by Scions Installation Five in Culver City which showcases Forty four Artists and there interpretation of Self Portraits. It isn’t your typical self portrait, the artists used several mediums such as Paint, Photo, Sculpture, Custom Casting, and Video. Over the last year, the show visited Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New York, Philly, Portland and San Jose. The art is auctioned off through the 30th of September and all the proceeds will go to the Creative Capital- A non Profit art organization.

Usugrow is a well respected artist, most of his work is black and white.

Tessar Lo as u can see does very creepy and disturbing beeeaaahhh…

Jeff Soto’s paintings of robotic creatures, flowers bouquets thrives, and black smog cant be mistaken for anyone else’s work.Blek le Rat most known for his stencil work… As u can see the god father is so serious.

Kofie’s line work and earth-tone’s into multi-layers is what he’s known for.

 Skypage, Alex Hornest, Patrick Martinez just had a show at Upper Playground and we will be posting pictures of that in our next post…Geah

Just another day on the Blvd…. The release of Johnny Cupcakes collaboration with Looney Tunes was this past Saturday and we were there to show some support and witness a kid get punked by some roided out dude…

Just waiting in line to get some NO SUGAR NO CARBS & NO FAT Cupcakes…

While in line we heard a big BBEEEAHHHH, we turned around and saw this…The asian kid was scared for his LIFE!

Saturday night was Philip Lumbnag’s show “Hug Life” over in the hoooooood, right next to echo park. The art varied from Stencils, Paint, to Sketches.  the man of the hour shown above looking all snazzy in a suit..A little toooo tight but it’s o.k.

First time meeting Shepard (Obey) and he was one of the nicest most down to earth guys around. It’s nice seeing someone that went from street art to Clothing line to Music while growing his empire.
