So a couple weeks back we headed out to Fairfax and Melrose and it happened to be Johnny Cupcakes 1 Year Annivarsary for his L.A shop. Melrose itself has somewhat died a bit, there are tons of store closed but on the other hand Fairfax seems to be growing, It’ll be interesting to see what will happen in a few years time.

We ended up talking to some of these kids and some of them had been camping out for about a week just to get some exclusive shirts and to celebrate Johnny’s 1 year here in LA

Most of them were really cool and talkative….. but some were a little camera shy. Overall a great amount of support.

Talk about support, check out these girls in line using a ripped open cardboard box for shade.

There still seems to be an abundance of great art behind the streets of melrose after all these years…
